The Certificate IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is a government-accredited course that is ideal for those who love language teaching and want a long-term career in teaching English as a second language (ESL). Use your qualification to become a private tutor or start your own company providing tuition to international students.
Please note that a degree or diploma in education plus teaching experience are also required to teach English to speakers of other languages in Australia.

The course will take approximately 16 weeks to complete and includes the standard 60-hour TESOL course plus 3 specialisation courses.
There are two study options for your convenience:
- Distance learning - complete the entire course online or by correspondence
- In-class - complete the first 60 hours in a classroom environment with the remainder through distance learning.

Successful completion of this course will provide you with a nationally accredited and internationally recognised TESOL qualification to teach English as a Second Language (ESL).
What Will I Learn?
