Word Processing and Spreadsheets Approx. hours: 80

Gain advanced word processing skills required to produce complex business documents such as advanced mail merges, multi-page reports, newsletters, and printed and online forms using Microsoft Word.

Learn how to:

  • create and use styles
  • create and use templates
  • use advanced tables features, including calculations
  • import data, graphics, text and objects and use drawing tools
  • create multi-page documents incorporating headers and footers, section breaks, cross referencing, footnotes, etc
  • automate repetitive tasks using macros

Upon completion, you'll receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA).

Microsoft Office Approx. hours: 80

This course will teach you the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Learn how to:

  • use Microsoft Word to produce simple word processed documents, tables, letters, simple mail merges and memos, and display documents including headers, footers and graphics.
  • use Microsoft Excel to design and create spreadsheets, use formulas to perform calculations, format for a professional appearance and ease of reading, and present the data in your spreadsheet as a chart.
  • use Microsoft PowerPoint to create professional, clear and easy-to-read presentations in a concise and interesting manner.

Upon completion, you'll receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA).
